TBM Ambassador Program FAQ
The Ambassador program is open to TBM practitioners who are passionate about advancing the discipline of Technology Business Management—whether through mentoring others, sharing best practices, or helping organizations strengthen their TBM capabilities. Ideal candidates include TBM Managers, Analysts, Executives, Solution Owners, Product Owners, and change agents across sectors and geographies.
Ambassadors represent the TBM community by mentoring peers, sharing insights, contributing to events, and serving as resources for TBM adoption. They may participate in virtual panels, speak at in-person gatherings, contribute thought leadership content, or serve as advocates for the TBM discipline in the community by leveraging their own social networks.
The program is designed to be flexible and sustainable. Ambassadors commit to a two-year term, with an average time investment of 1–2 hours per month. This includes participating in monthly syncs, occasional mentorship engagements, and select community activities.
No—but applicants should have deep experience in at least one area of TBM. Whether your expertise lies in TBM modeling, executive leadership, Agile and TBM integration, cloud cost management, or enterprise adoption strategies, the program is designed for subject matter experts who can offer guidance and insight in their area of strength. Ambassadors are expected to draw from real-world experience to support the community.
As an Ambassador, you’ll receive access to curated TBM Council resources, onboarding materials, branded templates, and ongoing support from Council staff. You’ll also join a private network of peers, gain early access to new initiatives, and be recognized for your contributions to the community.
This is a net-new and evolving program, so additional resources and opportunities will continue to be introduced as we grow. Your feedback and involvement will help shape its future.
After submitting an application or nomination, candidates may be invited to a brief conversation with TBM Council staff. Selection is based on interest, alignment with community goals, and availability. Selected Ambassadors receive onboarding materials and join an orientation call before engaging with the broader program.
