Winners from the Japan region to be honored at the 2026 TBM Summit Japan on July 17, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan
BELLEVUE, Wash. – March 24, 2026 – The Technology Business Management (TBM) Council, a global nonprofit business entity dedicated to advancing the practice of Technology Business Management (TBM), today announced the opening of nominations for the inaugural Jpaan TBM Council Awards, recognizing companies and individuals across the Japan region. This announcement follows the recent unveiling of the next evolution of the TBM Council Awards, introducing a new global and regional recognition model.
The TBM Council Awards recognize organizations and professionals who are leveraging TBM to navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape and deliver measurable business impact.
Nominations for the two Japan regional awards open today, representing the first regional launch under this newly evolved model. Winners being announced at TBM Summit Japan on July 17, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan.
Recognition Opportunities for the Japan TBM Community
Organizations and individuals in Japan will now have two opportunities for recognition:
- Regional Recognition – Compete for the TBM Pioneer (Japan) and TBM Professional of the Year (Japan) awards, presented at TBM Summit Japan in July.
- Global Recognition – Compete for any Global TBM Council Award category presented at the annual TBM Conference in November.
Organizations and individuals from any region, including Japan, may apply for global award categories such as Cloud Value Creation, Financial Impact, and others when nominations open in May.
Regional award recipients will also be recognized during the global awards ceremony at the TBM Conference, ensuring visibility on both regional and global stages.
Japan Awards Categories
Organizations and individuals in the Japan region may apply for the following awards:
- TBM Pioneer (Japan) – The TBM Pioneer (Japan) award celebrates high maturity organizations based in the Japan region that are driving breakthrough results through either deep penetration of TBM across its operation or advanced TBM use-cases. It honors those that have leveraged TBM to deliver transformative outcomes in areas such as the ROI of AI, sustainability initiatives, risk management, enterprise business management, and other advanced topics.
- TBM Professional of the Year (Japan) – The TBM Professional of the Year (Japan) award honors a standout TBM professional and advocate residing in the Japan region who has significantly advanced the visibility, adoption, and impact of TBM throughout their organization and the industry at large. The recipient will have demonstrated a pivotal role in driving TBM success by championing TBM principles, mentoring peers, actively participating in TBM Council activities and events, and contributing impactful thought leadership that elevates TBM both internally and across the broader industry.
