TBM Council Opens Nominations for 13th Annual TBM Council Awards
Winners to be honored at the 2025 TBM Conference, November 10–12, in Miami, Florida
BELLEVUE, Wash. – May 6, 2025 – The Technology Business Management (TBM) Council, a global nonprofit business entity dedicated to promoting and advancing the practice of Technology Business Management (TBM), today announced the opening of nominations for the 13th annual TBM Council Awards. This prestigious awards program recognizes organizations and individuals who are leveraging TBM to navigate the rapidly evolving technology landscape, demonstrating success through innovative methodologies and measurable business impact.
Evolving Award Categories for a Transforming Industry
Each year, the TBM Council refreshes its award categories to reflect the challenges, priorities, and innovations shaping modern organizations. Guided by input from the TBM Council Strategy Communities and Standards Committee, the 2025 categories include:
- TBM Quick Starter Award – Recognizes early adopters who rapidly create measurable business value with TBM within the first 24 months of implementation and adoption.
- TBM Pioneer Award (one winner per region) – Celebrates high maturity organizations that deliver breakthrough outcomes through advanced TBM use cases, practices or models.
- TBM Financial Impact Award – Honors organizations that leverage TBM to optimize technology financials, drive strategic investment, and enhance business value.
- TBM Portfolio & Product Excellence Award – Rewards organizations that integrate TBM with strategic portfolio and product management to continuously deliver business value.
- TBM Cloud Value Creation Award – Celebrates the use of TBM to unlock the value of complex cloud strategies through intelligent cloud adoption, FinOps practice integration, and modeling costs and consumption of on-premises infrastructure.
- TBM Public Sector Excellence Award – Recognizes public sector leaders who utilize TBM to enhance mission delivery, stakeholder outcomes, and operational excellence.
- TBM Professional of the Year – A brand-new award honoring a standout TBM professional and advocate who has significantly advanced TBM visibility, adoption, and impact within their organization and across the industry.
New Enhancements in 2025
This year’s program includes several exciting updates:
- Expanded Regional Recognition – To spotlight TBM stories from across the globe, the new TBM Pioneer award will honor one winner from each of our three global regions: Americas; Europe, Middle East & Africa (“EMEA”); and Asia-Pacific (“APAC”)
- Guided Submission Support – Expert-crafted guidance from TBM Council’s Research & Standards team to help applicants craft compelling entries.
- Scoring Transparency – Submitters will have full access to the official scoring criteria used by judges to evaluate submissions.
Eligibility
The TBM Council Awards are open to any organization or individual that has embraced TBM – regardless of experience level, including:
- New adopters in the early stages of their TBM journey
- High-maturity organizations delivering transformative outcomes
- Innovative practitioners applying TBM to broader business initiatives, such as sustainability, workforce strategy, product management, risk management, and more
